# The pipeline list

## Introduction

Most work with pipelines starts from your [pipelines list](#user-content-fn-1)[^1]. All existing pipelines are organised by [group](#organising-the-pipeline-list), with options to find specific pipelines by name, view deployments, add/delete pipelines, and organise your list:&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FnpdAc9KGB9CaV6y9OtC1%2FPipeline%20list%20300426%20h.svg?alt=media&amp;token=1b5d798f-df2b-4500-a4fc-568db0eab076" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Managing pipelines

Each pipeline is displayed as a single list entry, where the coloured icon indicates the status of the last run.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %} <mark style="background-color:$danger;">Red</mark> = failure; <mark style="background-color:$warning;">orange</mark> = warning; <mark style="background-color:green;">green</mark> = success; <mark style="background-color:$info;">grey</mark> = no runs.
{% endhint %}

From here, you can carry out all key tasks with pipelines. Find out more using the links below.

<details>

<summary>Opening a pipeline in the editor</summary>

Click the name of a pipeline to open the pipeline in the editor (i.e. to view or update the pipeline structure, deploy the pipeline, etc.).&#x20;

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FlL0imo7en7aVOaMA1Chn%2Fopen%20pipeline%20in%20editor.png?alt=media&amp;token=7820b971-9c5d-429d-a533-44cf53762b52" alt="" width="314"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

</details>

<details>

<summary>Viewing &#x26; managing pipeline deployments</summary>

Click the `deployments` option to view any deployments made for the pipeline. For example:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2F3Tg1jidnmOhfOvmcAWbX%2Faccess%20pipeline%20deployments.png?alt=media&amp;token=63202162-e903-497d-8a31-20347dddccf7" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Use the toggle option to enable/disable a deployment, and click anywhere on a deployment tile to view more details. Here, you'll find the pipeline version number deployed, and any defined [triggers](/documentation/brigge-for-transformers/pipelines/pipeline-nodes/trigger-node.md):

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FzQh0WX9vE3TqH0QCxoKI%2FPipeline%20list%20-%20deployment%20details.png?alt=media&amp;token=7aeb9871-3177-4a31-9c87-b1510ed1a419" alt="" width="307"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
When a pipeline is [deployed](/documentation/brigge-for-transformers/pipelines/pipeline-versions-and-deployments.md), it is `enabled` by default. This means the pipeline runs automatically, as per the defined [trigger](/documentation/brigge-for-transformers/pipelines/pipeline-nodes/trigger-node.md) settings. For more information, please see [Pipeline deployments](/documentation/brigge-for-transformers/pipelines/pipeline-versions-and-deployments.md).
{% endhint %}

</details>

<details>

<summary>Adding a pipeline</summary>

New pipelines must always be added to a group - find the required group and click the associated `add pipeline` button. For example:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FHPteilATdfyHe9RjMzv6%2Fadd%20pipeline%201.png?alt=media&amp;token=308d684b-27b0-495a-9c5b-bb4ab9795550" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you are just getting started with Brigge, you'll find that a new group is already in place. You can use this as-is, [rename](#renaming-a-group) it, or (if you have [added](#adding-a-group) at least one other group) [remove](#deleting-a-group) it.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

A new pipeline is opened in the editor, ready for you to name and [build](/documentation/brigge-for-transformers/pipelines/pipeline-nodes.md). At this point, the new pipeline is added to the pipeline list and named `New pipeline`. As soon as you change the name in the editor and save changes, the pipeline list is updated.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Deleting a pipeline</summary>

{% hint style="danger" %}
Deleted pipelines are removed permanently - this action cannot be undone.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

To delete a pipeline from the pipeline list, click the 'trash' icon. For example:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FLcLkmZ4CoMvJGC88fRS1%2Fdelete%20pipeline%201.png?alt=media&amp;token=7d463bae-03b8-43d7-86e5-f5886f340b6a" alt="" width="305"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

</details>

## Organising the pipeline list

The pipeline list is organised by group. Find out more below.

<details>

<summary>Adding a group</summary>

You can create any number of groups to organise pipelines. First, click the `create group` button:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FfRa80bBGMBNP0srKLtoo%2Fadd%20group%201.png?alt=media&amp;token=c7ccf594-436c-4579-a33f-bbf7072ce9c1" alt="" width="315"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

When prompted, enter a name for the group and save it. The group is added to the list immediately, ready for you to [add new pipelines](#adding-a-pipeline) or [drag in existing pipelines from other groups](#moving-pipelines).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Renaming a group</summary>

To rename a group, click the 'pencil' icon to the right of the existing name. For example:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FQyiYOgkwpoTiU6GnOOBQ%2Frename%20group.png?alt=media&amp;token=7012f97e-93fd-472e-a2ea-b79fa996666c" alt="" width="307"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Then change the name as needed and click the tick to confirm:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FiyUxkWF8zTQDXPKceygG%2Frename%20group%202.png?alt=media&amp;token=77ee1cdd-9a68-4bbf-ab43-76a842dfb109" alt="" width="314"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

</details>

<details>

<summary>Deleting a group</summary>

A group can only be removed if it is empty. If the group that you want to remove contains pipelines, move them to a different group (or delete them if they are not used). When a group is empty, a `delete group` option is displayed:

<figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2FE10Yg97DRs9Tqp5IXxzS%2Fdelete%20group.png?alt=media&amp;token=5a17e515-5191-4301-bbd1-a91c3e6814d9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click `delete group` and confirm that you want to proceed when prompted.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Moving pipelines</summary>

You can drag and drop pipelines to a new position in the same group, or into a new group. Hover your cursor over the associated 'move' icon until it changes to 'move' mode:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://2172380191-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8IqdqwZowcxtFpZfLa6k%2Fuploads%2Fcr32bj8IQsuAfixxlodx%2Fmove%20pipeline%201.png?alt=media&amp;token=0bbae433-e0f0-4098-b6a4-0f3c530fe78b" alt="" width="290"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Then click and drag the pipeline to its new position and release the cursor.

* If moving a pipeline to a different group, drag it roughly to the centre of the group and then drop.
* If moving a pipeline to a new position in the same group, drag it onto the pipeline that's currently in the required position, then drop.
